Inspirations on the Horizon: Perfect Furniture for Beach House Living

1.

When I think of the perfect beach house, the first thing that comes to mind is lots of natural light, tons of texture, no-fuss furniture, soft slipcovers, built-ins perfect for lounging, white as far as the eye can see. Slipcovered furniture is perfect for the beach house because not only does it become the focal point of your space but it is just as beautiful as it is functional. So no worrying about those sandy feet on your nice furniture!

How To: Guest Room

Guest rooms are often overlooked, and eventually, exiled to the island of desperate storage spaces because of being oddly shaped, in the attic, or having a too-rustic feel to them. To me, all of the above is the charming sound of a project! Having strange makeshift guest rooms are perfect for adding that daring and darling touch to your house that it so needs. As you may know, different colors cause different feelings. While purple’s meaning is, of course, luxury it also stimulates creativity. Also, Blue is thought to be relaxing. A soft lilac color, being a mixture of the two, would make a perfect color- welcoming guests with comfort and elegance in a coastal town. However, the color is just the base. The bed is the statement piece, and by keeping it simple, adding the home accents that are essential to a great guest room will be a breeze.

Spotted from the Crow's Nest:Beach House Tour
Leah Mullers Interiors

In our little coastal town of Vero Beach, Florida we have many wonderful interior designers that use they expertise to create the endless beautiful interiors that we call home. Vero Beach, located on the east coast of Florida is not quite the hidden gem it once was, people come in droves every year to take in what makes this tropical getaway so special. Design often adds to the identity of a place and in Vero Beach there is a natural gravitation towards coastal living that is often associated with the feel of places like the West Indies. Local Vero Beach designer Leah Muller has just the touch when it comes to achieving this particular seaside feel, as seen here in her elegant John's Island model home.
