Inspirations on the Horizon: British Colonial design

Bright whites, dark woods, turned legs and caned back chairs are some of the key elements found in British Colonial style.
Bright aqua distressed wood bookcase pops of the wall in this British Colonial Study.
Bright white and dark mahogany woods create a high contrast in West Indies or British Colonial design.

This porch is gorgeous with all the white surrounding the weathered teak sofa and chairs.

Mahogany four poster bed with sheer white canopy makes for a lovely guest room.

Tan ticking slipcover sofas with cane back West Indies chairs give this room a traveled and cozy feel.

Ocean maps with dark wood frames create an art wall for the Dining Room. We love the white table and teak directors chairs, they really complete the tropical design.
